The first of many...
I've decided to get into the whole blogging vibe. not only to meet like minded people in the creative world but also to keep track of my personal achievements.
I've just got to the 2 year mark since I picked a Camera up for the first time and my only thing I have to reflect upon to see how I've progressed is my Instagram '@jcooneyphotography'. This started from when I used to take photos on my i Phone 4s and over-saturate the life out of every photo (we've all done it)
now needing somewhere to share my thoughts as well as my images I have decided this is probably my best option.
I'm currently 1 year into a BA Hons Photography Degree and I've decided to relocate to Plymouth (South West of England) The creativity down there seems to be a lot more enhanced than the North East, which is where I'm currently living.
Anyway...
Here are a couple of my first images taken the first weekend I picked a Camera around 2 year ago. (excuse the HUGE watermark)

Growing up in my fathers garage, covered in Oil I've always had a huge love for cars and motor sport. A friend was having a car show that very weekend so It was a good time for me to try and work the buttons out on my new toy.
I'd always told myself that I'd hate to be a portrait Photographer or do anything that involved taking pictures of people. I'd done pretty well for a couple of month at staying away from this genre but it was only a matter of time until I got roped into something.
A friend of the family had mentioned that her daughter wanted to do a bit of modelling and we should get together and see what we can do. I think I was probably more nervous that her because I was still pretty clueless with the Camera. As it turns out we didn't do bad together at all!! Well I don't think so anyway.
To compare similar genres here's a couple of more recent ones I have taken.
Cars...
People...
Keep your eyes peeled for more work I'll be posting on here frequently.
